- Account details: email address (if you sign up with email/password); name information from Apple if you choose “Sign in with Apple.”
- Decision content: titles, descriptions, options, ratings, deadlines, and other details you enter in the app.
Automatically collected data
- Device information and diagnostics: device model, OS version, crash logs, and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics).
- Identifiers: app installation identifiers and, where permitted, advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA).
- Approximate location: inferred by ad networks (e.g., via IP) for ad delivery.
Content sent to AI services
- When you ask deeside to generate suggestions, we send the relevant prompt/description to our AI provider (Google AI via Firebase AI) to produce the response.
We do not request or access your precise GPS location, photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or health data.
How We Use Your Information
Provide and improve the app
- Create and manage your account, sync your decision content, and deliver core features.
- Fix bugs, analyze crashes, and improve performance.
AI features
- Generate suggestion content in response to prompts you provide.
Advertising and measurement
- Show ads and measure their effectiveness using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Depending on your device settings and choices, ads may be personalized.
Legal Bases (EEA/UK only)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process:
- Account and app content to perform our contract with you (provide the app).
- Diagnostics and performance data under our legitimate interests (app stability and improvement).
- Advertising identifiers and personalized ads with your consent where required (e.g., App Tracking Transparency on iOS).
Sharing Your Information
We share information with service providers that help us operate the app:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication, database (Firestore), and crash reporting.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for advertising and measurement.

Account deletion

Advertising and tracking preferences
- iOS: Manage ad tracking and App Tracking Transparency in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and reset your advertising identifier.
- Personalized ads: Where available, you can opt out of personalized ads through device settings. Ads may still appear but will be less relevant.
- Email communications: If we send service emails, you can unsubscribe where applicable (note that important transactional messages may still be sent).

Children’s Privacy
deeside is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
